Time for Tennis!

For those who don't know...Makenna is our little tennis player. She is on the Hurricane High Varsity Tennis Team. (She's a Sophomore this year) She was in dance for YEARS, but about two years ago she grew tired of it and was ready for a change. So, she took up tennis.
It's fun to watch her...especially when she gets really competitive...with an attitude!

Wow, what a stud! I didn't know she played tennis. She's gotten so old...when did she grow up?! Brock does play SUU, but they play them at UCDavis. In October Megan's husband will be playing in Sacramento the same day that Brock has a home game (which is right next to Sacramento) So I think we're all going to go up for both games. It's Oct. 25th, if you guys are free and want to take a road trip!

That's so fun! I have to say, I've wanted to learn how to play tennis for a long time. Mostly I just want to wear those cute tennis skirts. One day when we're in hurricane Mckenna will have to give me a lesson! She's so cool!

Long lost relatives! Got your post on our blog. Yes, Barry is my cousin, might I add "older" cousin. I am Lorri, second in line from the Delbert Butler family. I remember that Barry was always nice to me, unlike Jamie who held my head under water at the lake, but I harbor no ill feelings, can you tell. I remember counsins Barry, Rocky and Blaine all wearing black cowboy hats and thinking that was pretty snazzy. And am I correct in remember the story of cousin Barry standing on top of the stack of hay and asking Grandpa how to get down, Grandpa says flap your arms and fly. So counsin barry did, flap his arms that is, and fell straight down. I wasn't there, but heard the story many times :) Our son left in May and is serving in the Tucson Arizona mission, Spanish speaking. He rides a bike, so climatizing his Washington State body has been fun. He is having a great time and learning a real love of the people he serves. Thanks for sharing your blog. It is so much fun seeing the happenings of family. There is a real connection just reading about your family.
