Well, after counting down for over 150 days until the big day...it finally happened. Makenna is officially 16, and legally driving. Heaven help us all. Her birthday, January 5th, was quite a day. We had a big snow storm that day. I picked Makenna up from school to take her to the DMV. When we left it was snowing...lightly and pleasantly...and when we came out, it was a full-on storm. Black ice, cars turned over everywhere. It was quite a drive home. But, she insisted on driving (of course), and did fine. I can't believe how fast my kids are growing up.

my first snow storm i drove in was with uncle barry in his truck... ahhh, the sheer terror and panic (maybe i just have it now looking back and thinking, wow-what the hecko was i thinking?)
and the point of the previous comment? HAPPY BIRFDAY!
Yes, Happy Birthday! May I just say, good for you Mckenna for getting your license as soon as you could. Would you believe that I know many teens who just don't get around to it and it drives me crazy because I can't even begin to fathom why. What's going through their heads? It's driving, the best birthday gift EVER! Freedom!!! I was so excited to drive. Congrats on getting your license and for making it home in such a bad storm. You rock. :)
Happy late birthday have fun driving and don't wreck the car lolo
